The passion that Gavin spoke with demonstrated that he not only wanted our athletes to become better at their chosen sports but improve their personal skills to become better people in life. With his incredible experiences across so many levels of football, Gavin’s engaging stories drew great connections for the kids to gain an understanding of what leadership is and how it can be represented. The practical activities allowed our students to implement the learnt skills and use them in ‘on the spot’ situations. The discussions that the students were involved in gave them the opportunity to bring their real-life experiences into the room and reflect on what could have been done differently.
